About Morden
Located in the Pembina Valley region of southern Manitoba, Morden is near the United States border, on Treaty No. 1 Territory.

The Nature
This area of Manitoba was once completely under water. In fact, Morden is home to the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre, which should tell you a bit about its (prehistoric) history. Fossil- and dinosaur-themed areas of interest abound, including a life-size replica of a Xiphactinus, a toothed marine reptile, in a local park.

On to modern day: Morden has tons of green space and a large, stunning recreation area (swimming, kayaking, walking trails, you name it) at Lake Minnewasta.

Although classified as a "city" in 2012, Morden still has a cozy, small-town vibe. It's home to 10,000+ people, and it's growing! Check out the City's website for additional information.

Fun fact! Look familiar? Morden's historic downtown was featured in the popular 2020 TV series Tales from the Loop.
